Musculoskeletal & Sport Physiotherapy

Are you struggling to do everyday tasks or is it painful to move? Did the pain appear through a traumatic event, or did it appear gradually over time? Is this pain recent or has it persevered over days, months or years?

Having aches, pains or stiffness is normal, but it should not be ignored and more often than not it could easily be remedied through Physiotherapy.

As Physiotherapists we use our anatomical knowledge and hands on skills to assess, diagnose and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. We aim to relieve your pain, help you understand the cause of your pain, and get you moving to return to your everyday activities.

What do we treat?

~Back/neck pain: Headaches, acute and chronic pains, disc injuries, joint dysfunctions.
~ Muscle tears and tightness
~ Ligament sprains and tears
~Tendon tears and Tendinopathy -for example- tennis elbow
~Nerves : Sciatic pain, referred pain, pins and needles, numbness etc.
~ Pre-surgical rehabilitation is often overlooked, but it can set you up for a smoother transition and faster post-surgery healing.
~ Post surgery rehabilitation

What to expect during a consultation?

We will start with an initial examination to understand your injury and determine if Physiotherapy is the most appropriate pathway for you, or if you need to be referred to a specialist.

If we conclude Physiotherapy can help you, follow ups might be advised and we will develop a personalised treatment plan to ease the pain and prevent the problem recurring.

Treatments may include gentle joint mobilisations and/or manipulation, soft tissue massage, stretching, muscle strengthening, functional movement training, self-management, education and home exercise.
